I know, I know – it’s been a while.
And then for my first post back – I throw it back to when I was a baby, just so I can showcase a picture of my grandmother.
Who just turned 80.
I am glad I was around for her birthday. 80 only happens once a lifetime, after all.
We, the family, just headed out to Mandarin (for those not in Ontario – it’s a big Canadian-Chinese Buffet) and celebrated.
A little bit about my now-octogerian grandma:
She cut my hair until I was 18 (she was a hairdresser).
She beat Breast Cancer (thank heavens!)
She used to chase us with a wooden spoon around the house when we were bad (not that we were ever bad …)
She loves her laptop, especially the Skype and Solitaire functions.
She’s now addicted to something called Pengle on Facebook (and sends me a million game requests a day)
And she raised my Mother – so she must have the patience of a saint.
Happy (belated) Birthday, Vosinha!
