Hey All!
I have decided to participate in 8 Sentence Sundays over at the Weekend Writing Warriors!
What you do to participate is take 8 lines from your story, be it complete or work-in-progress, and post them on your blog, FB, whatever – and then link back to the site!
We pick up where we left off – our Heroine Gena has just pulled into her family’s old house and gotten out of the car only to be taken aback by the overwhelming feeling of being watched. Is there something out in the darkness waiting to pounce? Or is it all in her tired but over-imaginative head?

She could see nothing, but still the feeling persisted. The prickling that began at her skull flowed down her head to settle on her shoulders, gripping her with a fierceness that unsettled her all the more. Something was out there, she was certain of it. The wind had calmed, the stillness of the night all the more chilling for its silence.
Gena’s ears pricked, highly alert for the smallest sound.
A pebble moved.
Gena attempted to step back, to scream, certain that whatever was out there was rushing towards her, but found her limbs frozen, her whole body seized in a panic that would not ebb. The sound of the pebble played over in her head and her eyes searched the darkness frantically, from corner to corner of the carport, looking for a sliver of light to bounce off an unreal form moments before it attacked –

The next time I read a blog, Hopefully it won’t fail me as much as this one. I mean, I know it was my choice to read through, but I really thought you would have something interesting to say. All I hear is a bunch of crying about something you could possibly fix if you were not too busy looking for attention.
